We can have great friends, family, and a fulfilling job, but if we're not in a relationship, some of us might feel like there is something missing, or at least societal pressures make us question ourselves. But as French actress Juliette Binoche explained in a recent interview, there's a downside to being paired up. You can feel tied down and less independent. She said:

"I need relationships, but sometimes when I am in one I feel claustrophobic. It is about feeling that I still have my freedom, that I have choices. I don't look back on the past because I like to live in the present. I know this makes some people think I probably never cared, but I need my freedom and I like to keep moving."

Her sentiment is a reminder that each person can feel their best in very different relationship situations. Maybe you're more fulfilled with a partner by your side, or perhaps you feel free to be you when you have no one to answer to but yourself. Do you relate to Juliette's comments?
