Queen Elizabeth Celebrates Her "Official" Birthday

Queen Elizabeth II has a lot to celebrate this month: not only is she marking 60 years on the throne with her Diamond Jubilee festivities, she's also celebrating her official 86th birthday. This "official" birthday shouldn't be confused with her "actual" birthday of April 21. Thanks to Edward VII, who didn't want to celebrate his real birthday when the weather was poor, all kings and queens "officially" celebrate their birthdays in June. It's traditionally marked with the Trooping the Colour, which was held on Saturday. So in honor of her official birthday, let's take a look back at the queen from her days as Her Royal Highness Princess Elizabeth of York to her current role as Britain's second-longest ruling monarch.
