Thanks to the website Awkward Family Photos, we all know how uncomfortable family portraits can be. But some families are willing to really embrace the awkward nature of a family photo by dressing up in hand-knit naked suits for the occasion.
San Francisco's public television channel recently caught up with artist Anna Maltz, the woman who makes the head-to-toe suits and then takes photos of people wearing them.

Former eBay CEO Meg Whitman wants to be governor of California, but it took her until the age of 46 to register to vote. (Reminder: the voting age is 18!) Whitman has apologized for the 28-year oversight while offering an explanation. She said:

The decision by a California school district to introduce gay-friendly curriculum has been met with a not-so-friendly reaction. Parents are suing the Alameda Unified School district, alleging that inappropriate curriculum is being forced on their children.
Once a year, students in kindergarten through the fifth grade would be taught about LBGT issues.

Last week when we discussed the assumption that a mother should get the children when a couple splits, a few of you mentioned your own experiences dealing with divorce.
I've known some people who were really troubled by their parents' breakup, and others who said it was the best thing that ever happened to their family. If your parents divorced, how did it affect you?

Most people I know get creeped out by the idea of their parents having sex (you probably thought "eeeeew" after reading that sentence). But some of the more freewheeling parents out there don't bother hiding their sexuality from their children.

My boyfriend who was also my best friend has left me, very cruelly. Ten days after the breakup, he started posting pictures of himself with a new girlfriend on Facebook! I hate my job in the family business and want to go abroad.
