I have been married for almost six years. At first my husband would help out around the house, nothing big, but he would at least pick up after himself. Now, he does nothing.

Now that two-income families are the norm, the chores and odd jobs that used to get done during the week by a stay at home mom are neglected, leaving many wives, according to an article in The New York Times, asking for a wife of their own, aka a personal assistant. Joyce Lustbader, a research scientist at Columbia University who has been married for 29 years, was quoted saying, "I work all day, sometimes seven days a week, and still have to go home and make dinner and have all those things to do around the house." I can say with certainty that she is not alone in feeling like there are just not enough hours in a day to get everything done.

I have a friend who is a vegetarian and when she recently got engaged, she told me that her grandmother asked, "Are you going to cook your fiance meat now?" We both agreed that that was totally absurd. Just because you are getting married or in a relationship, doesn't mean you would give up your values, right?

As I've mentioned in the past, I'm a huge fan of the new CBS series The Good Wife. In particular, I adore Alicia Florrick's (Julianna Margulies) apartment. With classic styling and great use of color, it's definitely a look I'm currently coveting.

In case you missed this post from Friday.... Earlier this week we saw Debra Messing looking stunning at the screening of her new miniseries, The Starter Wife. The series, based on Gigi Levangie Grazer's New York Times bestseller, looks to be as fun to watch, as it is to read.

I've been enjoying Julianna Margulies's new series The Good Wife. Margulies stars as Alicia Florrick, a wife and mother who heads back to the work force after her husband (played by Chris Noth), the Cook County state attorney, is jailed for a sex and political corruption scandal. Alicia's new home, which she shares with her two children, shows a great mix of classic style that's updated with some more modern touches.

To say that Alicia Florrick from CBS's new show is The Good Wife is an understatement. After her politician husband Peter (Chris Noth) is embroiled in a sex scandal, she publicly appears with him. We've all wondered why real-life women like Elizabeth Edwards and Silda Spitzer stood by their men despite being humiliated.

Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana got a special visit from their executive producer, Brad Pitt, at the premiere of The Time Traveler's Wife in NYC last night. The actress showed off some skin in her dress and was without a date amid rumors things are over with Josh Lucas. Rachel recently compared life as an actor to the film saying, "Actors are gypsies and we're constantly going in and out of our lives and jumping into others.

The Time Traveler's Wife isn't the best book adaptation ever, but I am in love with the interiors in this magical romance. Every character inhabits seriously to-die-for digs; I only wish there were more photos available! I recommend seeing the movie if only for the rooms, and until then, get a taste — and get the look.
