So you hate that condoms make sex less enjoyable and you despise being on hormones because they make you moody. So what's a girl to do about preventing pregnancy? Maybe you've considered the Today Sponge.

I'm sure we've all heard about this interesting form of birth control (possibly from an old Seinfeld episode) and I've got to tell you that the Today® Sponge, though weird and uncommonly talked about, is back.
So where did it go and why? It was originally introduced in 1983 and went off the market in 1995 because the former manufacturer didn't want to pay for the costs of getting the plant up to acceptable manufacturing standards.

The 2009 Teen Choice Awards took place yesterday in LA, with all the stars of the past year's charts, movies and TV shows turning up to be awarded by teens. The show is yet to air in both the US and UK, but Twilight took home a whole host of awards (check out the winners list under the cut for spoilers) as did Gossip Girl and the Jonas Brothers. Kristen Stewart looked like she was taking tips from Robert Pattinson with her big hair, and wore a seriously cool spiky skirt, while Leighton looked sexy in stripes!

It is party season and did you know your kitchen sponge is the hostess of the most-est. Yep, the average kitchen sponge can play host to upwards of 7 billion bacteria. Yikes!

Johnny Depp left his hotel in Puerto Rico earlier today and headed over to the set of The Rum Diary. His fans might be very excitable, but Johnny's been looking as cool as a cucumber while filming. His work isn't limited to movies these days — he's also set to guest star on an upcoming episode of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Victoria Beckham wore her dramatic shoulder pads for an afternoon of shopping in Milan today. Perhaps she was in the mood for a treat amid news that she's briefly heading back to TV. She's the latest celebrity, after Johnny Depp, to voice a part for SpongeBob SquarePants.

Since today is officially Ask a Stupid Question Day (thanks for the heads-up, YumSugar), I've got a potentially stupid question for you. Over here at CasaSugar HQ, we've been plagued with an offensively musty-smelling dish sponge for the past few days. I'd heard that microwaving the sponge would cut the odor, but it didn't seem to work.
