It's no secret that Americans have a fascination with celebrities. Of course knowing that they live in a completely different world than we do makes admiring them from a far all the more fun, but new research shows that praising celebrities can actually improve self-esteem in those that suffer from low self-esteem. When you go to a party, do you find yourself sitting in the corner, watching everyone else? When you meet new people, are you scared to open your mouth because you have nothing to say, or are you worried people may laugh about what you do say or think you're stupid? Being shy has a lot to do with how you feel about yourself.

Pack your bags working moms, we're going on a guilt trip. As if there's not enough blame to push on the working mother, a new report came out giving those of us in the work force another reason to feel self-conscience for bringing home some bacon. A British study found that children of working mums spent more time watching television and had poorer eating habits than their peers with stay-at-home moms.

The federal "self-deportation" pilot program ends today with a scant handful of illegal immigrants volunteering to return home. The three-week program gave illegal immigrants facing court orders 90 days to plan their departure rather than face being arrested, detained, and deported. The program was well-publicized, but in the first week only six signed up.

As a self-confessed sunworshipper (it's my only vice, honest) I'm always extra careful to protect my skin, when indulging in my favourite summer activity. As well as a good body block, and an extra high factor facial sunscreen, last year I started taking skin supplements to further try and save my poor, sun-starched skin.
It felt like many of them did more to ease the conscience than the skin itself, but this summer I've been testing Imedeen Tan Optimizer supplements, (£37.50 for 60 capsules), and I'm actually very impressed.

I have been blessed (knock on wood) with a babe that doesn't have a lot of mucus.
Occasionally she has a booger hanging from her nose that I quickly grab, but I rarely notice spit or snot lingering on her precious lil face.
This isn't always the case.

We've all been there. That angry, envious, kind of sad and resentful feeling that builds up inside us when we see our boyfriend talking to his gorgeous new neighbor. Or if a co-worker gets the promotion you should have gotten.

I met a really attractive and intelligent woman at a party a few weeks ago. It was a public event at an art gallery. She was a high school teacher in her early thirties.
