Rock the Vote Ads — New Christina vs. Vintage Madonna?
Christina Aguilera's much talked about Rock the Vote ad premiered yesterday and exactly as advertised it features her tender singing with a flag-swaddled Max in her arms. On Larry King Live last month, Christina talked about how her spot was inspired my Madonna's Rock the Vote ad from 1990, which has a decidedly different feel but the same ultimate message. The video has him dressed like a rabbit, and it got me thinking about the videos he's made that he doesn't entirely take himself seriously in! Women Go Dark and Pale On MTV EMAs Red Carpet
The women were looking gorgeous as they took to the red carpet at the MTV EMAs this evening. Brits Pixie Lott and Leona Lewis went for black outfits, with Pixie choosing a classic LBD and Leona going for an edgier choice of harem trousers. Lil Kim made a bold statement with her outfit, while Juliette Lewis was classic rock chick in her leather.

It was Rock week on The X Factor this week, where Lucie Jones looked rather like Kristen Stewart during her performance of "Sweet Child of Mine" and John & Edward divided opinion yet again with their version of "We Will Rock You"! Danyl Johnson's confidence was very obviously knocked by being in the bottom two last week, and his performance was pretty shaky, but the public brought him back. Bon Jovi and JLS performed on tonight's show as we waited for the results, which brought surprisingly bad news for Rachel Adedeji and Lloyd Daniels, who were the bottom two in the public vote after their performances on Saturday.

Christina Still Rocking the Vote and This Look
Christina Aguilera came out in LA last night to host a Rock the Vote party at the Esquire House Hollywood Hills. Jordan was on her arm, both with wine glass in hand, to pose on the red carpet though all Xtina seemed to be able to manage was a smirk. She was joined by partygoers including Kourtney and Kim Kardashian off her first week of Dancing with the Stars as well as Guitar Hero/Rock Band designers Aly and AJ.
