In this day and age, where most of us carry a BlackBerry, a cell phone, an iPhone, or maybe even all three, it's easier than ever to get ahold of people. My mom, for instance, always has her phone with her, no matter the day or the time. Then there's my BFF, who is notorious for never answering her phone and lagging on her email responses.

Gwyneth Paltrow's dishing out some healthy advice on GOOP this week — get your daily dose of vitamin D. The super-fit star points to Dr. Frank Lipman's healthy tips for getting our fair share of the vital D, who reminds us that, especially this time of year —when we head into the colder season and see less sunlight — it's even more important to supplement our diets with the vitamin, and avoid a vitamin D deficiency.

So I may not play golf, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a good comedy based on the game. (Remember that scene in Happy Gilmore when Adam Sandler squares off with Bob Barker? Classic.) With Halloween just around the corner, October is the perfect time for movie studios to unleash their creepiest films, since we're all in the mood for a good scare. Combine with that the insatiable desire for vampire entertainment, and you've got Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant; a tween fantasy movie that plays out like R.L. Bad news if you're one of the many who peek at your favorite shows online: Hulu may start charging for content as early as next year.
I can't say I'm surprised by this — not much comes free, so it was bound to happen eventually — but that doesn't mean I'm not bummed. Even though many of the network sites stream their own shows, Hulu has always been a reliable source for older TV shows, movies, and fun exclusive interviews.

From the six or seven cell phones I've owned in my life, two of them were Nokia's. Tried, tested and true, Nokia handsets will always have a special place in my heart. Now I know I have a tendency to talk about fancy new Android phones, and ramble on about the iPhone, but I know not everyone has oodles of cash lying around to spend on a smartphone.
