Christmas is almost here and one of my favorite traditions is to kiss under the mistletoe. Whether you're one to hang out near it expecting a smooch, or avoid it completely, take this fun little quiz to see what you know about this festive plant.

As the custom goes, any two people who meet under the mistletoe are obliged to kiss. When I was little, I always thought it was a kind of creepy tradition (because I thought kissing was so gross), but now that I'm older, I think the idea is actually kind of sweet.
Not everyone agrees with me though, so I was wondering: How do you feel about this tradition?

'Tis the season of much merriment and mistletoe. It seems that kissing under the mistletoe might be better for more than just getting you in the mood, a holiday mood, that is. Kissing is good for your teeth!

It's a Christmas tradition to kiss when you walk under the mistletoe, but what happens if your boyfriend gets caught under it with another woman? While I'm all for spreading the Christmas cheer, there are a few women I wouldn't be too thrilled to see, or know, that my boyfriend kissed. I know I'm not alone on this one so ladies, tell me, if you were at a star-studded Christmas party, what celebrity would you not want your boyfriend to kiss under the mistletoe?

Penelope looked flawless in her white suit at the opening of the Unbreakable Kiss Mistletoe installation in NYC. Yesterday was World AIDS Day, and $5 will be donated to the Elton John AIDS Foundation for every couple that kisses under the mistletoe through Thursday. We wish we could see Penelope puckering up to Javier in the spirit of the holidays, but apparently the couple may be going through a rough patch.

Mistletoe is an evergreen plant with white berries. Mistletoe poisoning occurs when someone eats any part of this plant. Poisoning can also occur if you drink tea created from the plant or its berries.
