When I was a kid, my Kindergarten teacher had to make a special call to my mom to say, "Your daughter has a hard time sharing." It was so true. I coveted the princess gown in the dress-up area, I never wanted to give up the swing at recess, and I never let anyone borrow my crayons.

Ricky Gervais is trying his hand at yet another workplace-centered TV comedy! The soon-to-be Golden Globes host and scribe behind The Office is lending his talents to PhoneShop, which follows a guy working at a phone store at the mall. Mundane jobs are Gervais's specialty, so it's bound to be hilarious — but for now, it's only set to air in the UK.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ben Stiller movies. Over the years, I've grown tired of seeing him in the same everyman role again and again (with a few exceptions, like There's Something About Mary), but every now and then he throws a curve ball that pulls me back in. Greenberg already looks like one of the latter films.

Penelope Cruz was busy in NYC yesterday, first making a stop by The Late Show to chat with David Letterman. She was out to discuss Broken Embraces before it opens in limited theaters this Friday, but Dave was a little more concerned with asking about her rumored engagement to Javier Bardem. This morning, I set the record straight on the baking fat known as shortening. Although it's a nice vegan alternative to butter or lard, a number of you are disgusted with its trans fat content. I can relate to both perspectives — although I recently became enamored with the flaky texture it lends to pie crusts, like the one in traditional apple pie.
