If you're like me, you're highly anticipating that rebate check! Even though I'm not scheduled to get mine until May 9, I know exactly what I'm going to do with it.
I've always considered tax refunds as free money, and back in my less responsible days, I'd use it to buy something I had my eye on, but this year I'm not even letting that money get comfortable in my bank account — it's going straight to my bills.

We hear of celebrities getting in a car accident, or getting pulled over for DUI charges almost every day. Lindsay Lohan is notorious for "paparazzi generated" fender benders and her pal Paris Hilton is constantly being photographed driving away from night clubs with friends piled into every crevice of her vehicle.
Fame seems to buy you a ticket to ride in Hollywood, which doesn't provide the younger generation with any sense of consequence.

When Kate Moss gave an interview to WWD about her new fragrance, I was pretty shocked to hear her reveal one of her mottoes – "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels". It seems to have been a bit of a slow burner in the news, but today it has landed the model in trouble as eating disorder charity Beat described the comments as "dangerous" and "very unhelpful".
Storm models released a statement saying that Kate's comments had "been taken out of context and completely misrepresented."

How could officials publicly call into question Caster's sex, knowing the profoundly personal nature of the matter? Their actions were so degrading that Caster was rumored to be in hiding after the tests reportedly revealed that she was intersex.

Times have changed since I was in college, and I'm not just referring to the escalating cost of tuition. Banks hawking everything from free t-shirts and water bottles to free pizza used to set up their tables around the university center attempting to attract unknowing students to sign up for credit cards. As of February 22, 2010, those banks won't be allowed to coerce young adults with free stuff in exchange for completing credit card applications.

After more than 200 years, it appears Guinness is trying to make a splash with its new products. First, it unveiled its 250th Anniversary Stout, a limited-edition carbonated beer, and now it's begun testing out a version of the world's best-selling stout that contains less alcohol. In comparison to at least 4.1 percent in standard Guinness, Guinness Mid-Strength, as it's called, contains only 2.8 percent alcohol.
