A little flattery can go a long way when it comes to boosting the ego, but even praise can get excessive sometimes. To be honest, I’ve never been a fan of the male gaze; no matter the guy, I just don’t like being stared at. My girlfriends see it as a form of flattery, but to me, being ogled is just too much.

Many years ago, I had a first date with a guy I knew from college. While we talked over coffee, he kept glancing down at my chest. I wasn't wearing a tight or low-cut shirt, but he seemed pretty interested in my breasts.

Pepsi's Amp Up energy drink (another one?!) has created a free iPhone app that gives players "up-to-the-minute info, feeds, lines" so that they can talk to their favorite kinds of women — "24 in all."
Basically, men can either get tips before they score, or they can upload details of their hookups as a result of these indubitably useful apps after they score. Nice touch, Pepsi.

Lots of gorgeous men from our side of the pond travelled across the Atlantic to make an appearance at the Toronto Film Festival this weekend, following Dominic Cooper and Paul Bettany's lead from last week. Ewan McGregor and George Clooney continued their bromance promoting The Men Who Stare at Goats, and travelled from Venice Film Festival to Canada, as did Matt Damon and his wife Luciana. Cillian Murphy was joined Brendan Gleeson for the premiere of Perrier's Bounty, while Colin Farrell was on the promotional trail for Triage.

George Clooney arrived in Toronto yesterday afternoon, and last night he stepped out for dinner with friends at a mall in the city. He's still in film festival mode after his time in Venice promoting The Men Who Stare at Goats, though he's switching gears slightly now to premiere Up in the Air. Most of you guys weren't really loving the mustache he grew for Goats, but George looks like his normal bare-faced and handsome self now that it's time to show off both his finished products.

Gorgeous guys George Clooney and Ewan McGregor team up in the buddy comedy The Men Who Stare At Goats. Ewan plays a reporter who encounters an enigmatic Special Forces operator (George), learning of a top-secret experimental US military unit training psychic soldiers. After seeing the trailer I'm really looking forward to this film — due for UK release in January 2010 — so check it out and let me know what you think!

Bizarre Foods host Andrew Zimmern doesn't like Tyler Florence and he's not afraid to publicly express his disgust for the Food Network chef. Last week on his personal blog, Zimmern said in a discussion of Ryan Seacrest's reality show, Momma's Boys: Monday’s episode featured the worlds least talented TV chef, Tyler Florence, once again churning out the questionable cooking advice and the leading the ladies through a menu of the Moms fave recipes. Watching Florence wolf down the food, stare and ogle every ass that strolled by his cutting board and play the role of local TV stud was high comedy of the highest order. To find out what Florence had to say about ZImmern, read more

Out of the bat suit and into something a little more dapper, Christian Bale makes scruffy look sexy on the cover of the August issue of GQ UK. With The Dark Knight's release date just over a week away, he's got plenty to say about the film, but also shows us more of the man behind the latest caped crusader.
