All relationships have their ups and downs as personal needs and the demands of life fluctuate, but typically we think of these low points as emotional challenges rather than sexual disappointments. However, like all other aspects of a relationship, sex requires work and development, so it’s not surprising when couples encounter difficulties in the bedroom. Though I’m sure there are some of us still satisfying our voracious sexual appetites, I think many people have encountered a sexual dry spell in their relationship before.

If you're in a relationship, chances are you have a pretty steady sex life, but if you're single and don't believe in casual sex, I bet you wish you were getting a little more action! I'm pretty sure we've all experienced a dry spell here and there, so ladies, do tell, what's the longest you've gone without sex?

Well folks, it's time for me to plan my favorite event of the year — my birthday party! Since I threw a blow-out bash at a bar for 27 and a big picnic at an oyster farm for 27.5, I've decided that, for 28, things should be more subdued. Thus, I'm hosting an intimate dinner party for me and my 20 closest friends.

April's Self presents an unusual, but timely topic in its Happiness Update section —"Getting Hired Right Now." The advice ranges from tips on exuding confidence during an interview to being open to criticism, but I am most impressed by the reminder to beef up your résumé with stats instead of a standard description of your past positions. Self says:

In a recent Home Library post, I reviewed Ed Roth's book Stencil101, which gave simple instructions for adding stencil fun to your home. I decided to try out his swallow stencil in my entry. First, I used painter's tape to tape down the stencil flat against the wall.
