When President Obama was recently questioned about his smoking, our Commander-in-Chief said he was 95 percent cured and doesn't indulge in the habit around his children. His sentiment echoed that of father of eight, Jon Gosselin. Whether the vice is alcohol, smoking, cursing, partying or eating fatty foods, habits are hard to kick.

Whether it's drinking, partying, smoking, cursing or indulging in fatty foods — everyone has a vice. But for many people all it takes to kick that habit is a positive pregnancy test, ultrasound picture or the actual birth of their babe. Still it takes others longer to let go and some parents like TLC's most famous dad of multiples, Jon Gosselin, don't have a problem mixing child rearing with occasional pleasures.

One of my best friends has a very sensitive constitution — if her stomach isn't upset, she's got a cold, or the shingles, or the flu — you name it, she has it. She's one of those people who will tell you exactly how she's really feeling when you simply say, "Hi, how are you?"
Her latest thing is that she's been diagnosed with IBS, which explains her multitude of stomach problems and food sensitivities.

I'm a creature of habit, but the older I get, the more I realize how many habits of mine have been adopted from past boyfriends. Cracking my neck, the way I butter my corn, and having to close every closet door before going to bed are just a few. I think it's only natural to pick up such tendencies, but once you start to pick up the bad ones, it can be hard to let them go.

I'm always telling you good habits to pick up when it comes to your health, but some people need to be told habits they should avoid. Breakfast is crucial, but you're not doing yourself any favors if your daily breakfast is loaded with saturated fat. So in an effort to cover all grounds, here are a few more eating habits you should avoid:
- Feeling Invincible: It's easy when you're young to think that a diet of cheeseburgers, fries and soda will never catch up with you.

It's a big movie weekend, for sure. With New Moon finally out, I've already committed myself to spend an afternoon at the theater — the only complication is that I'm not so fond of the movie-theater fare. It's an admittedly challenging place to stick to healthy food choices, since there usually aren't any to begin with.
