The colors at my parents' wedding 33 years ago were pale green and pink. Thus, I'm incorporating these hues into the decor for their upcoming anniversary party. A picnic table looks sophisticated when covered with a frosty green tablecloth.

There's nothing quite like food to spark a memory. For my parents' 33rd anniversary party, I plan on bringing back the special moments of their wedding by serving carrot cake.

My parent's 32nd wedding anniversary is next week and although my dad may not be the best at remembering to pick up trash bags at the grocery store, he's good at remembering the important things like birthdays and anniversaries. It was my mom this year who actually said to me midsentence on a completely separate topic, "Oh my gosh, it's our anniversary next week, I almost forgot!!" So ladies, even if you don't make a big deal out of your anniversary, who tends to remember it most, you or your significant other?

Although I think celebrating marriage anniversaries can be an important way to keep the romance alive, I’m not one to make a fuss over a relationship anniversary.
