In case you missed it, and I honestly don't know how you could have, swimmer Michael Phelps accomplished what he set out to do and won eight gold medals in Beijing. Phelps won more gold medals than any other athlete during one Olympic games. Wow!

Last night seemed like a redemption match, gymnastics styles. The top three were all amazing, but Nastia Liukin was the best in the all-around competition. With the Summer games less than a week away and gymnastics on the top of my list of sports to watch, I was looking forward to reading Chalked Up by 1986 US Gymnastic Champion Jennifer Sey. Remember the commercial, "What would you do for a Klondike bar?" Well, people from around the world will roll down a hill, risking life and limb, for a giant round of Double Gloucester cheese at the annual Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling and Wake. (As a cheese lover, this makes total sense to me.) Lest you think this is merely child's play, consider this: the cheese can reach speeds up to 70 mph, it knocked over and injured a spectator in 1997, and it's a pretty uneven and steep hill so there are always sprained ankles and broken bones.

Every kitchen needs a baking sheet (aka jellyroll pan). Not only are they great for baking cookies and pizza, but you can put it under a roast to catch drippings.
So you're probably saying to yourself, okay but what's the big deal, a piece of metal is a piece of metal, right?
