I'd like to know what the Dutch are hiding in their bathrooms! A new survey released yesterday claims that 88 percent of respondents listed a visit to the bathroom as their most enjoyed activity.
I can think of a lot of other things I like more than answering the call of nature.

Yesterday's New York Times profiled the sustainable dance club, explaining that people can see the results of their energy creation.

When it comes to sustainable technologies, Royal Boon Edam is truly opening doors. The company has introduced the world's first energy-generating revolving door, which not only saves energy but also generates it with each person who passes through. The door was installed in the Driebergen-Zeist railway station in the Netherlands, which was recently refurbished by RAU, an architect firm specializing in ecological buildings.

Her proud parents, who were seated in the front row, were told to move to the back so that white attendees could have their seats. I spy lettuce, carrots, and cucumber chunks for this baby hippo and proud mama. Did you know that hippos eat just about 1 percent of their total body weight as adults? Don't call them greedy, though — if necessary, the huge mammals can store two days' worth of grass in their tummies and go up to three weeks without eating.

While Brad Pitt has been hitting the movie theater and gearing up for Cannes, Angelina Jolie is already abroad for a more serious cause. She visited The Hague in the Netherlands today to witness the trial of Thomas Lubanga, a Congolese warlord facing charges of using child soldiers. Angelina called it a "landmark trial for children," and her roles as both mother and activist make it no surprise that she made it a point to be there.
