This cruelty-free Zebra British Flag Rug ($875) is new at Jonathan Adler, and kind of cracking me up. I've always loved the Union Jack, and even though I'm a Yankee, I think its geometric design would make a wonderful addition to my home. I'm also pretty much over the zebra rug trend, so I think this is a playful alternative.

This handtufted New Zealand wool rug (price upon request) features some pretty-in-pink lions. I love this rug conceptually, but you'd have to plan an entire room specifically around these fierce gentlemen. Can you see this rug anywhere in your home?

This Crazy New Sh*t Rug ($2,999-9,961), designed by New York-based artist Dan Golden, cracks me up, and it reminds me of a wild friend of mine. I really love it. But I'd probably be admitted if it wound up in my home.

I think the overlapping accent rugs in this kid's room, shot by Swedish photographer Ulrika Ekblom, work because the effect is playful and relaxed, just how every youngster's room should be. I've seen overlapping rugs used in more adult settings before and I'm not universally sold on it. You?

This HZL Mood Lounge Rug ($1,395 to $1,900) that Kbourg recently bookmarked is definitely bold, but in the right room, I think it would be a great look. What's your opinion?

I seem to be harboring a mild obsession with outdoor rugs lately, but this Koko Outdoor Rug ($46) is a step above your normal fare. No faux-Persian pattern here, just one bold bird in a contrasting color from its background. Do you envision making this part of your home during this endless Summer?
