Just as guys help their girlfriends and wives check for breast cancer, you can help your man check for testicular cancer. You might not know this, but it's the most common cancer in American males between the ages of 15 and 40; a pretty scary stat! If it's found early though, it's highly treatable, so it's important to encourage your man to check for lumps or changes in his testicles, and you can help too.

Everyman is a mens charity that has that challenge as it aims to raise awareness of testicular cancer. For their latest campaign they have recruited presenters Rick Edwards and Nick Grimshaw to model their No Ball Games t-shirts (£14).

Risk factors
According to a report in the Archives of Dermatology, marathon runners are more likely than the general population to develop skin changes that increase the risk for melanoma.
Prevention
A study published in The Lancet indicates that the best ways to avoid sun damage are to reduce the time you spend in the sun and to wear a hat and clothing to protect as much of your skin as possible. Fabrics that are thick and tightly woven offer the best protection.
