To combat the impending Winter and the lagging economy, last week Smitten challenged its readers to list five of their favorite simple pleasures in life. I know bow flats have been around forever, but I recently became smitten with these Prada Stud Bow Flats ($530). What I don't love, however, is the high cost. The soft bow and studs are desirable — the price tag, not so much.

The new season of the Martha Stewart Show debuts today and besides proclaiming to be her "biggest" season yet, Martha has invited two prominent food bloggers to participate in Wednesday's program. Smitten Kitchen's Deb Perelman and Matt Bites' Matt Armendariz will sit down with Martha to discuss their interesting lives as food bloggers.
Always one to keep up with the current trends, it's no surprise that Martha would invite these prolific, popular bloggers to join her in the kitchen.

One of my favorite recipes is Michael Chiarello's winter panzanella with mushrooms. I hadn't really put much thought into doing a Spring variation, but when I found this recipe for just that, I couldn't help but be excited! This Spring panzanella is filled with fresh asparagus and crunchy croutons.

I love chicken, I love almonds, and I love green olives. Why haven't I ever thought of cooking all three together?! This dish for chicken with almonds and green olives does just that.
