Sugar Editorial Picks
Nov 14, 2007 -
Every Wednesday on BuzzSugar, I post a Recast challenge, where I ask you to choose new actors for a classic TV show or movie. The reader who submits the best cast wins a BuzzSugar t-shirt!
If you could recast this 1985-1992 TV show with new actors, who else could capture the charm and pep of these funny ladies in their "golden" years?

I think there are like three of these left on Amazon (all on VHS). How awesome would it be to have one of the "Golden Girls" on videotape talking about how to care for cats? Talk about two for the price of one.

We already know that some celebs aren't making quite as much as they used to, but others are still making serious bank. Mariah Carey has tripled her stock since 2006 from $1 million per private appearance to $3 million! Pamela Anderson has learned that time is money, increasing her fee from $75,000 to $250,000.

Some people say that Sex and the City had an older (in more ways than one) precursor: The Golden Girls. Carrie is to Dorothy (Bea Arthur) as Samantha is to Blanche (Rue McClanahan), etc. Well, I tell you what, I would almost rather see this following version than the upcoming movie!
