Today Ronald Reagan would have turned 98-years-old! The 40th President of the United States lived a full life, and he played many roles — on-screen as an actor, and in public life as CA's governor and a two-term US president. Perhaps you're not aware that his role as George "The Gipper" Gipp in the 1940 movie Knute Rockne, All American got him the lifelong nickname "The Gipper."

The more things change, the more they stay the same, huh? This week in history, waaaayyy back in 1980, then-presidential candidate Ronald Reagan's children were featured in People magazine — fast-forward to 2008, and while Obama is in Israel meeting with top Israeli and Palestinian leaders on his plans for containing the nuclear threat from Iran and building peace in the Middle East, his daughters are getting their time in the mag.
In the Reagan kids' profile (which has a hilariously vintage feel) daughter Patti scandalously admitted to the question of whether she would vote for her dad, "gee, uh, I don't know — maybe I wouldn't vote for anybody.

Following Michael Jackson's sudden death yesterday, his brother Jermaine made a statement at the hospital to confirm the tragic news and to give a little more information about the shocking series of events, here's what he said:
“My brother, the legendary King of Pop Michael Jackson, passed away on Thursday June 25, 2009 at 2.26pm. It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known.

Ed McMahon died at age 86 at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center earlier this morning. He'd been battling cancer and also suffered from pneumonia this past January. Ed is survived by his wife Pamela and five adult children.
