With all this news about cartoons from my childhood being made into movies, the return of Better Off Dead director Savage Steve Holland, and now, a comeback by The B-52s, I really do feel like I'm living in the '80s. In the case of the self-proclaimed "world's greatest party band," I consider this a good thing.
As reported in Billboard today, B-52s just finished laying tracks for a new album, the band's first since 1992's Good Stuff.

Although I can't make it to the official celebration in Wisconsin, I'll be observing National Mustard Day this weekend. Was it just me or was last night's episode of Hell's Kitchen somewhat entertaining? After catching the snooze fest that was the Food Network's shameful Next Star, Hell's Kitchen - with a gentler Ramsay (gentler = he did not break any plates) and glamorous photoshoot - was actually kind of fun. Melissa brought the boys down in battle lobster, Rock threw a temper tantrum, and Bonnie made something that impressed chef Ramsay.

Z Gallerie says their Sequin Lobster Pillow ($39.95) "redefines rock lobster, which is what most people equate with scrumptious, edible crustacean." I have to agree, and say that I've never seen lobster look so glam. It'd be cheeky in a summer house in Maine, or perhaps a seafood restaurant.

With the final three contestants left on Hell's Kitchen, last night's episode was by far the most emotional. The chefs proved themselves worthy with a stellar dinner service and seamless teamwork. The tables were turned as Ramsay challenged Bonnie, Jen, and Rock to run the pass (translation: shouting out the orders as they come in, one risotto, two wellingtons, etc).
