Hey, buddy, I feel for you, but maybe dressing up in a fuzzy mascot suit and proposing in front of hundreds at a crowded basketball game is not such a great idea. We've been seeing a lot of Ryan Reynolds lately thanks to his role alongside Sandra Bullock in The Proposal, but I can't seem to make up my mind about the actor's hotness factor. There's no denying that he has pretty features and a buff bod, but something about the Canadian actor doesn't get me hot and bothered. Then again, he does get points with me for playing Billy in the 1990s Nickelodeon teen soap Fifteen.

- Gaza Blast Kills 5: A large explosion in Gaza yesterday killed at least five Palestinians, including several Hamas militants and a baby girl. Despite the death and destruction of a residential building, responsibility is unclear. Hamas, the Islamist group that controls Gaza, first blamed the blast on an Israeli air strike, causing them to fire rockets and mortar rounds at Israeli towns and villages around Gaza.

In a strong and perhaps rare show of unity, all three candidates declared in a joint statement released today by the Save Darfur Coalition, that waiting for the end of the Bush administration will do the Sudanese government no good. McCain, Clinton, and Obama said this:

I can't deny I'm pretty much obsessed with geek love. First there was iDating, a dating effort for people with iPhones, next there was a man who proposed marriage via a widget, and now, there's the first couple to have been married in the virtual world and the real world. That's right folks, players of the online game EverQuest II shared their love for gaming and each other at a live and in-game wedding ceremony hosted by Sony Online Entertainment.
