Another nugget of fallout from the financial crisis isn't just the prices on Lehman Brothers swag on eBay — it could be Obama's seemingly gleeful reaction to it, according McCain strategists. Steve Schmidt told reporters today that Obama is "cheerleading the crisis," and using it to his own political advantage, while McCain seeks a bipartisan solution to the money woes.
While Obama is "cheerleading" the financial crisis, Sarah Palin did some McCain cheerleading of her own at a joint town hall in Michigan last night.

I've been waiting to hear this! After we checked out the candidates' favorite songs last week, some of you commented on Obama putting a song written for him on his top 10 — and McCain has a tribute song of his own!
Country singer John Rich of the Big & Rich Country band and Nashville Star, debuted "Raisin' McCain" live at an event earlier this month.

Flipping channels after Meet the Press Sunday, I stumbled across Kid Rock's new video for his song, "Amen." I have to say it's a little jarring (and refreshing?) to see a video where the shocking and subversive images aren't girls in tiny bikinis or guys covered with bling, but scenes from the news, from reality. Though I don't know what that says about the world we're living in, I'm glad Kid Rock isn't shying away from showing the truth, even if it is gritty.

John Mayer headed out to dinner solo on Tuesday night and yesterday stopped by a doctor's office as he gears up for his world tour, which kicks off next week. He just got back from a short trip to Australia where he debuted some new songs and weighed in on the Britney lip-syncing debate. His Battle Studies album is out on Tuesday and when the whole thing leaked on the Internet this week, John politely requested that fans think about buying it too and he expressed gratitude at people's positive responses.

Who didn't dream about being the one pulled out of the crowd to dance with Bruce Springsteen in his Dancing in the Dark video? While Courteney Cox will always have that honor, seeing one of rock and roll's living legends all over my television screen this past month has brought those memories back.
The 59-year-old father of three shows no signs of slowing down after rocking the halftime show at the Super Bowl, winning a Golden Globe for his song from The Wrestler, performing at the inaugural concert and releasing a new album.

Back in 2001, I picked up Acoustic Soul by India Arie and liked it a lot. Unfortunately, I lost track of her until this week, when I ran across a video for "I Am Not My Hair." The song came out in 2006, but its message of self-acceptance and confidence is timeless.

Amy Poehler's husband made us laugh earlier this week, but today it was her turn to show off her new TV show. Once called the The Office spinoff, it's now going to be focused on the minutia of local politics — check out lots of details about the show on Buzz. Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones, and Amy Poehler kept the crowd laughing, which makes me very excited for the show which will premiere April 9, presumably with a title of some kind.
