Not usually thought of a health-conscious place, Washington DC, took the top ranking by the American College of Sports Medicine in their second annual American Fitness Index (AFI).

The big winners at last night's MTV Europe Music Awards were Britney Spears and Jared Leto's band 30 Seconds To Mars, each of them winning two awards. Hostess Katy Perry beat Duffy to take home the award for New Act, and the Brits were represented by Sir Paul McCartney and Rick Astley who each took home a gong. "Gird your loins!" Yeah! My favorite quote of last week made it into the opening of SNL last night where Joe Biden and John Murtha attempted to remove their feet from their mouths for certain "crises" and "redneck" statements.
