A recent New York Times article reveals that window watching (spying on your neighbors) is a common activity in big cities, where apartment windows often face each other. One woman interviewed for the article notes, "In a large city where there’s a lot going on around you, it can feel very isolating and lonely. By having contact with these total strangers through the window, it’s a safe way of having a relationship without the hard part of a relationship."

I was hardly surprised to read that neighbors who live near The Hills house in Los Angeles are pretty annoyed about the ever-present reality show commotion. With the TV crews, paparazzi, and drive-by sightseers, the once-quiet block has transformed into a modern media circus, so it's understandable that the neighbors would get peeved.

You just moved into a new apartment, and while you used to live on the top floor, you’re now living right in the middle. You haven’t had many issues with the building as a whole, and you’ve never even seen or heard your downstairs neighbor, but it only takes a week for you to realize your upstairs neighbor may be a problem. Hello CasaSugar,
I was wondering if you would have any advice on dealing with noisy upstairs neighbors in an apartment complex. I've already spoken to them about it, but honestly, it's not their fault! The noise isn't music or anything, it's just that the ceiling is so horrifically thin that I can hear every step they take (I live below two guys) as if they were wearing lead boots!

My neighbor listens to The Postal Service, likes to run, and hails from Wisconsin. Other than that, as far I know, he has no other interests or qualities. That's often how neighbors work.

For the past five years, Wes Anderson's wide fan base has been waiting for his first fully animated film. Would his adaption of Roald Dahl's children's book, Fantastic Mr. Fox appease the same crowd that holds Bottle Rocket and The Royal Tenenbaums near and dear to their hearts? The answer is an emphatic yes, and the best news is that you don't even have to enjoy Anderson's other work to fall in love with this film.
