She may hold a place on Forbes' Young Hollywood's Top-Earning Stars list, but Abigail Breslin has to earn her allowance like any other kid. The My Sister's Keeper actress celebrated her thirteenth birthday in April, and in her house that meant her allowance increased by $1. She earns her age in weekly allowance, and the chores she must fulfill for the $13 might sound familiar to what you had to do as a kid.

Whenever I get a hold of international currency, it feels like there's something special about it. It's fun to inspect money that's different from what I'm used to, notice all of the symbols and appreciate the colors. Not to knock the classic money green that covers the US dollar, but what would the dollar look like if you could do a redesign?

Wedding etiquette is remarkably touchy and unfortunately complex in some social circles. Some of the tension is centered in the gift-giving ritual, which is a way for guests to help the couple complete their home together.
According to a survey by market research company GfK, 90 percent of people who attended weddings in the past two years said they bought gifts, while just 28 percent of couples said they expected to receive them.

While President Obama may have declared the economy has stepped back from the brink, families are still playing it safe and trying to save a buck when possible. Many couples I know who used to have standing date nights have cut back on the sitter and have started inviting friends over for dinner in an effort to stash some cash. Has the recession caused you to cut back on dates with your hubby?

The stars came together to prove many points in ABC's UN-BROKE: What You Need to Know About Money, and host Mellody Hobson's intermittent interviews with random Americans on the street were evidence that most people need to learn those money lessons. This statistic really stood out: the average American family has $10,000 in credit card debt spread across five high interest cards. If only minimum payments are made, it would take 58 years to pay off the $10,000.
