Movie Preview: Tina Fey and Steve Carell in Date Night

I freaked out a little (OK a lot) when it was announced that Tina Fey and Steve Carell would play a married couple in the comedy Date Night. Well, the trailer is here, and I'm still enthusiastic about it - though I wasn't expecting it to be so action-adventure-y.

The movie revolves around a single night out for typically bored (but atypically hilarious) married couple Claire and Phil Foster. When they take another couple's dinner reservation, their romantic evening turns into an issue of mistaken identity, and they spend the night running from trouble. While I'm not thrilled by the setup, there are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments in this first preview, including some amazing appearances from Mark Wahlberg and James Franco.

Mila, Natalie and Emmy Make It a Starlet-y Night at the NY Ballet

It was a lovely evening for the ballet in NYC yesterday, as celebrities gathered at the Lincoln Center for the Fall Gala. Mila Kunis posed pretty with Natalie Portman, who is having quite the cultured week in the city after checking out Jude Law's official opening at Hamlet on Tuesday. The girls are starring as rival ballet dancers in the upcoming thriller Black Swan, so it's all in the name of research for Mila and Natalie. Emmy Rossum may be in the midst of divorcing her secret husband, but she's still happy to step out with her current boyfriend, Counting Crows's Adam Duritz. He has quite the history with beautiful women - Jennifer Aniston or Mary-Louise Parker, anyone? Joanna Garcia also stood out in her sexy red dress and has been adding some new excitement to Gossip Girl as Nate's star-crossed lover Bree.

Trend Alert: Nude, Matte Lips at the Emmys

On the red carpet last night, tons of celebrities played down their makeup, especially lips. As usual, there were lots of soft pinks and shimmers, but the dominant trend was nude, matte lips. Whether part of an understated look designed to let a dress or jewelry shine through, like Ginnifer Goodwin and Kristin Chenoweth, or as a soft foil to dramatic eyes, like Kim Kardashian and Mila Kunis, the matte lip is a sexy, subtle way to keep a dramatic look from being overdone. The Emmy Parties Continue All Around LA After the Show

Lots of celebs had fun at the Emmy Awards last night, and the good times continued around LA with various afterparties. The HBO bash brought out the stars of Entourage, with Jerry Ferrara cuddling up to girlfriend Jamie-Lynn Sigler as AnnaLynne McCord smiled for the cameras. January Jones struck a pose on ET's red carpet, and inside big winners Jon Cryer and Toni Collette chatted with their newly-acquired gold. The exclusive Governor's Party was the destination of Mariska Hargitay, Jennifer Westfeldt and Jon Hamm, who wasn't home to see all the crazy moments from the latest episode of Best Drama Mad Men.

Blake Lively picked another low-cut dress to mix and mingle at the HBO event, where Big Love's Ginnifer Goodwin and Chloe Sevigny appeared to be having fun together. Over at the Governor's Ball, Andy Samberg left girlfriend Joanna Newsom's side for a moment to pose next to big man of the night Neil Patrick Harris. Alec Baldwin proudly showed off his statue, and Debra Messing gave a big bear hug to pal Mary-Louise Parker. Kellan Lutz was one of the lone Twilighters making the social rounds, taking a little break from working with Robert Pattinson and the gang up in Vancouver to hit the ET bash.

Romanza was in the air last night at the Emmys as the majority of Hollywood's leading ladies showed off their soft side in swirling ruffles, cascading tulle, sweet lace, soft chiffon, and decadent draping. Such romantic dresses are a popular choice on the red carpet and I can see why. They evoke instant femininity and appeal to both guys and dolls. Gorgeous Gals and Guys Walk the Emmy Awards Red Carpet

Stars of the small screen flocked to the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles yesterday for the Primetime Emmy Awards. Our own Brits Cat Deeley and Ricky Gervais joined their American pals for the glamourous ceremony, which saw the guys stick to black suits and the women dazzle in an array of colouful dresses. Cat went for a pale floor-length number, while Gossip Girl buddies Leighton Meester and Blake Lively took opposite approaches with white and red. Heidi Klum showed off her baby bump in a tight black dress, while Drew Barrymore opted for a fairytale-style gown. Vote on all the fashion choices and beauty looks in Fab and Bella's polls.

A whole host of men wore smart suits for the ceremony, with Ricky Gervais keeping his eyes shielded on the red carpet with sunnies. Host Neil Patrick Harris, John Krasinski and Justin Timberlake all looked gorgeous in their shirts and ties. The Red Carpet Gets a Dose of Bumps, Black and Purple

We already had one look at all the gorgeous ladies on the Emmys red carpet, but many of the other ensembles were also amazing. Heidi Klum kicked things off in a dress that perfectly showcased her growing baby bump, while Tina Fey picked out a number in similar black. Leighton Meester was quite a contrast in white, looking pretty with her red lips. Ginnifer Goodwin and Mila Kunis, meanwhile, added color to the carpet with their purplish frocks. I totally have a girl crush on Mila Kunis, and the fact that she did something a little different on the Emmy red carpet tonight makes me adore her more. Her burgundy, layered-tulle Monique Lhuillier gown has a retro vibe, but her patent platform pumps are totally youthful. Her vintage earrings are divine . . . are you crushing, too?
