More than 17,000 fans, friends, and family members of Michael Jackson gathered Tuesday to honor the King of Pop's memory at Staples Center.
The city of Los Angeles footed the bill for the security, traffic control, and other services at the memorial service, and now the cash-strapped city is seeking help to cover the cost. City officials have even set up a website for fans to make tax-deductible donations through credit cards, PayPal, or check.

At Sugar HQ groups spectated via Slingbox, gathered around the lobby television, streamed the memorial service online, and checked blogs for updates while we worked.
Since there were so many ways to tune in to the emotional service (and over one billion people were expected to be watching through various methods from around the world), tell me, how did you watch?

“It was Michael Jackson that brought blacks and whites and Asians and Latinos together. Because Michael Jackson kept going, he created a comfort level, where people that felt they were separate became interconnected with his music. Later, it wasn’t strange to watch Oprah on television.
