Make Up For Ever has just launched a two-fold campaign called Lash Pimpin'. The first part includes 55 types of reusable, nylon faux lashes. The second part is Flash Color, 24 shades of highly pigmented eye makeup that was previously available to professionals only.

So I've kinda fallen in love with this Make Up For Ever Microfinish Powder ($30). I ran across it yesterday at Sephora and was skeptical of the High Definition name. "Harrumph," I harrumphed.

Yesterday, my best friend and I were headed out for the night. Sick of this bronzer-mascara combo we've both been rocking all summer, I opened Make Up Your Mind by Francois Nars to a random page and followed the directions (with whatever similar products I had). This classic tome is broken into eight sections that begin with general tips and end with step-by-step instructions for each look.

I've always been a bit suspicious of loose powder, especially the kind that is supposed to be used to "set" makeup. On me, it often looks caked-on and masklike. Looks like I'm not the only one.

The outbreak of conjunctivitis at London Fashion Week is being blamed on unclean make-up brushes which has led me to wonder how many people clean their make-up brushes. It is one of those things that often gets forgotten about but I realise how important it is. They say that good brushes which are looked after could last a lifetime!

Are you a cosmetic junkie? Unfortunately I don't love cosmetics as much as clothing and accessories, but some women can't tear themselves away from the make up counter. Regardless of the size of your make up bag, we all have essentials we don't leave home without.

It's inevitable that couples will fight, it's just the nature of the beast, but what really matters is how you make up! Couples that fight seem to have their make up routine down pat. Perhaps they fight just so they can make up!
