MSNBC President Phil Griffin announced yesterday that Countdown with Keith Olbermann has been renewed for at least the length of Barack Obama's term. He said:
"Keith Olbermann is at the core of MSNBC's current success. Countdown is our signature program and I'm thrilled that we're going to be able to bring it to Keith's loyal viewers for another four year term."

Vanessa Williams and her pregnant Ugly Betty costar Ana Ortiz were two of the attendees, while Tyra Banks received the Excellence in Media Award for her efforts to increase "visibility and understanding of the gay and lesbian community." Mar 13, 2008 - In last night's Special Comment, Keith Olbermann painted HIllary Clinton as a dangerously passive figure in her own campaign. In his first ever Democrat-focused Special Comment, Keith regretfully reprimanded Clinton for not forcefully distancing herself from Geraldine Ferraro, whom he says dismissed Barack Obama's candidacy as nothing more than an equal-opportunity stunt.
