Thai police are trying to remove anti-government protesters who have taken over the prime minister's compound. The protesters are vowing to stay on the grounds until the prime minister, now living in self-imposed exile in London after corruption charges, steps down. The protests started yesterday with more than 30,000 people taking to the streets.

Reports last week of a commercial plane that missed its destination airport by 150 miles initially raised fears that the pilots had fallen asleep, or, worse, that the plane had been hijacked. But according to the Natural Transportation Safety Board, it turns out the pilots were working on their laptops in the cockpit, causing the error. Before you ask, no, working on a computer while in-flight is absolutely not allowed.

Accepting that modern couples may be turned off by traditionally rigid morals, the Church of England is making an effort to welcome families who have had children out of wedlock.
Today, the Church unveiled a new "hatch and match" service that offers a two-for-one wedding and baptism ceremony. Now couples can get married and have their children baptized all in one day!

Good news fashion TV lovers, another insight in to the glamorous world of la mode is about to hit our screens. Well, glamorous might be overselling it slightly but I'm excited as the Rachel Zoe Project is due to hit UK TV on Tuesday 19th May.
The fly-on-the-wall programme has already gained a cult following in the US as the stylist hijacks New York fashion week and styles Anne Hathaway, allowing viewers an insight in to her fabulous life!

Mandy Moore had her husband Ryan Adams by her side on Saturday at LAX. She hasn't been shy about showing off her new ring, but it looks like Mandy was trying to hide her hand in her pocket this time. We don't know much about the couple but they shared a little of their playful side in some recent twitter posts where Ryan apparently "hijacked" her account.
