To celebrate National Pancake Day yesterday, IHOP was serving up flapjacks for free. The only breakfast our nation cared about, it seemed, was the short stack. But across the pond in Glasgow, Scotland, a couple of chefs were more concerned about the tallest stack of pancakes.

Not only does Danny Johnson speak four languages, play the piano, saxophone, oboe, and drums, but he also set the Guinness World Record for the highest score in Guitar Hero playing the toughest song available: "Through The Fire and Flames." I am not even close to completing the song, and am kind of in awe of how fast his 14-year-old fingers move on that plastic guitar.

His score of 890,971 is the world's highest, and Danny says that if anyone beats his score, he'll be right on their tail with even more points.

Yesterday, the residents of Callao, Peru were up to something fishy. Four-hundred-fifty students and chefs were elbow-deep in whitefish, lime, onions, and peppers in an attempt to break the world record for the biggest serving of ceviche, a seafood dish in which raw fish is "cooked" by the acid of lime juice.
The dish weighed in at a record-breaking 6.8 tons, more than 2 tons heavier than the existing record of 4.5 tons, a record that was made in Mexico.

In the footage below, captured by a local station, the 15-year-old shows off the unusually long fry, which she's keeping in the refrigerator. She has refrained from auctioning off the item on eBay or eating it, instead waiting to hear back from the Guinness Book of World Records.

Mexico's had a long love for tortas — 48 yards, to be exact.
Earlier this month, Mexico City caterers created Central America's longest-ever sandwich, coming in at 48 yards. With the help of 45 torta outlets, the oversized baguette took only five minutes to make.

We've seen some pretty amazing animals on this site, from quite possibly the world's oldest dog to a recent title for balloon popping. I've found a few record-winning ear lengths and had to see if you'd beat my surprise at how expansive lobes can be! For good measure, I also added in some Guinness Record-holding goat horns .
