Last Friday, Tyra Banks hosted a show on jealousy and friendships. On air, one woman confronted her friend for copying her hairstyle and her wardrobe and also accused the friend of resenting her success. The accused friend admitted that being a cash-strapped single mom made her envious of her friend.

Gossiping, cyberbullying, "slut-bashing" — girls may not often handle their aggression by punching people in the face, but they have many weapons in their arsenal to cause tremendous pain to others (usually other girls).
So what to do about it? Author Bonnie Burton decided there needed to be a book about mean girls addressed to teens themselves and not just to their parents and teachers, so she wrote Girls Against Girls: Why We Are Mean to Each Other and How We Can Change.

Bachelorette parties come in all shapes and sizes (as do male strippers). Some brides want relaxing girls' getaways, while others go for wild and crazy Vegas-style parties.
A wedding calls for a celebration, and the bachelorette party is an opportune time to spend some quality time with your good friends, but celebrating a friend's impending end to singledom could be time-consuming and expensive if it involves going somewhere.

“In general, the role of friendship in our lives isn’t terribly well appreciated,” said Rebecca G. Adams, a professor of sociology at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.

So when a friend gets engaged before you, it can make you green with envy, not to mention even more restless. While the engagement race may seem foolish to some, it does exist, so tell me, have you ever been secretly jealous or disappointed that a friend got engaged before you?
