On a rainy day (and in England there are many) I love nothing more than putting on an old, classic movie and cosing up to watch it in a big oversized jumper. One of Bella UK and my favourite movies is Funny Face starring Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire. In the film Hepburn (Jo) faces a make-over as she is chosen as a model for a shoot in Paris alongside Astaire (Dick).

If you haven't heard of Janelle Monáe, you are missing out. Seriously. The Grammy-nominated singer has a smooth but strong voice like felted cashmere, feet like Fred Astaire, and style like nobody else.

All our Sugar sites are bringing you gift ideas for grandfathers today, so I've selected some classic films, DVDs and songs that have stood the test of time: they're oldies but goodies!
First off are musicals for the grandpa who loves the glamour of the old days, from Singin' in the Rain and a Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers collection, to a box set of classic movies.
If your granddad is particularly nostalgic, you could treat him to black and white classics, from Charlie Chaplin to the humour of a Norman Wisdom or Laurel & Hardy collection.

American artist and designer Tony Duquette has been known since the '40s for his exuberant signature style, designing costumes for Camelot and various Fred Astaire musicals as well as interiors of the homes of the rich and famous. But until now, his home designs and furniture pieces were only available to those who commissioned them before his death in 1999. Furniture company Baker has now brought Duquette's work to the masses (kind of) by releasing a 19-piece collection of reproductions of his designs, which are available to purchase from Baker dealers by all who can afford to.

As usual, Lil' Mama takes her look over the top - top hat, that is. Whether you think she's channeling Fred Astaire or Slash, Lil' Mama is certainly continuing to display a penchant for headgear. Accessories aside, her lashes are spiky and she went lighter on the eyeliner than usual.

The first time I lay my beedy eye on this picture I thought somebody had been very clever with photoshop. I could not believe the Kaiser himself would dress in such a way, however, it is taken from this month's US Harpers Bazaar where designers are fulfilling their fantasies.
Giorgio Armani as Fred Astaire, Karl Lagerfeld as a rapper ("Believe it or not, I love rap," finally we find out what is on all those ipods) and Alber Elbaz as a Hollywood producer with James Bond flair.
