Round up those wagons! As any beach or park-going parent knows, gathering children and all of their stuff for an afternoon of fun is an exercise in balance and coordination. Between pushing the strollers and finding space for all of the snacks, blankets, toys and changing supplies, the likelihood of holding onto everything is slim.

"Passengers requiring extra space" might be a sugar-coated way to describe overweight individuals, but there's nothing sweet about United Airlines' new policy for such flyers. The airline announced yesterday that larger travelers will have to pay twice as much for a flight.
If you cannot fit in a single seat, buckle a seat belt property, or put the armrest down when seated, then you'll have to buy two tickets.

Combine with that the insatiable desire for vampire entertainment, and you've got Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant; a tween fantasy movie that plays out like R.L. Stein's Goosebumps novels on the big screen — but not nearly as scary.

A 51-year-old Concord, CA, pilot was arrested for stalking his ex-girlfriend. He wasn't hiding behind the bushes or peering over a parked car — he was flying over her neighborhood in his plane! He'd been given a restraining order earlier in the day for dropping offensive flyers, and when police received complaints that he was at it again, they threw him in jail.
