Red, gold, and the wordless melody of the Spanish national anthem filled Vienna's Ernst-Happel stadium Sunday night, as Spain beat Germany 1-0 to win the European Championship and end 44 years of underachieving.
Back in Madrid, Spain, fans and patriots waved the Spanish flag, watched fireworks, and partied in the streets. Firefighters cooled off the Summer celebration by spraying the crowds with water.

Penelope Smiles Through Her Broken Embraces
Penelope Cruz was back on the set of Broken Embraces the other day, showing off two different hairstyles. She looked cute in her white dress and very navy blue ensemble as she smiled between takes of the film in Madrid. Last week she took a break from work to celebrate Spain's Euro Cup victory with her man Javier, so we think some more romantic party time is in order now that fellow native Rafael Nadal took the men's title at Wimbledon.
