A popular nightclub in Australia has decided to ban "metrosexuals" in an attempt to curb violence. Apparently a certain style of dress is enough to start a bar fight.

On the list of forbidden clothing items you will find low-cut v-neck t-shirts, skinny jeans, pointy white shoes, popped collars, and Ed Hardy tops. I think many of us would be happy to go to a bar with this type of restrictive dress code.

When trying out fashion trends, men can come off as trying a little too hard. The power jeans trend - the tendency to pair expensive-looking jeans with a blazer for an "I'm hip!" vibe - is another example. Which male fashion fad would you like to ban?

Bro vs. Douchebag: Is There a Difference?

Listening to Phish. Wearing popped collars. Playing ultimate Frisbee. Flaunting the number of chicks bagged.

Are these the traits of a bro or a douche? Is there a difference? While pondering this question, you might want to pop over to BroBible.com, a "brocial" networking site created by 24-year-old Doug Banker, a hesitantly self-identified "bro" who wants to redeem bro culture from being demonized as douche culture. (Sample post: "What's More Bro: Oral or Anal Sex?")

Last year when the site was still under construction, he had this to say about the distinction: "[A] bro is just someone who likes to go out and have a good time, who likes to stay connected to their group of friends while expanding their horizons. It’s not one of our goals to make the word ‘bro’ more positive. But yes, hopefully, that will happen."

So is there a difference between a bro and a douchebag? Does it matter? Do you wish those words would go away? Inquiring minds want to know!

You might have thought the World Series game between New York and Philadelphia the other night was huge. Well, Jason Jones and John Oliver from The Daily Show are here to prove that the real competition was between the fans - battling it out for the title of American sports' douchiest fans. It was a really hard one to judge, as you will see. Who was better at cursing, slinging homophobic slurs, and even being the best lady-douches? Everyone brought out their best ~~A-game~~ D-game, but there can only be one winner in the clash of the cretins. Who do you think it was?

Speaking of Neanderthals, the irony is not lost on me that the tagline for this Muscle Milk ad is "Drink. Evolve."

Who's Douchier? Jon Gosselin or Richard Heene

It only made sense to me to pit America's least favorite dads against each other in the battle for who's douchier.

On the one hand, there's Jon Gosselin of Jon and Kate Plus Eight fame. This man had no problem parading his children around on reality television when he was still on the payroll, but now that he's getting cut out of the show, he refuses to let his wife continue on without him. (He claims it's a sudden concern for his children and not his sudden loss of income that's motivating him.)

On the other hand, there's alleged balloon hoax perp Richard Heene, who is being prosecuted along with his wife for pretending that his six-year-old son Falcon had unlatched the family's helium balloon and was flying around in danger. We already enumerated his douchey ways, but to summarize: the guy's a misogynistic, homophobic, racist jerk who is using his kids to get famous.

So now it's up to you . . .

Top 5 Reasons Balloon Boy's Dad Is a Jerk

The more I hear about Richard Heene, father of Balloon Boy, the more I'm frightened by the man. Before he and his family took over the media yesterday, Richard was busy starring in videos in which he comes off as hostile and misogynistic.

Here are my top five reasons this man is a jerk:

It's likely that he tricked the media and government officials into thinking his 6-year-old son Falcon was flying away in a balloon. News just broke that Richard first called the local TV station to report that Falcon took off, while his wife called 911 and the FAA. His likely hoax cost taxpayers a lot of money.
On an episode of Wife Swap, Richard made a "bitchmeter" for his swapped wife and said: "You're a man's nightmare. I'm so glad my wife was born in Japan."
He's videotaped himself ranting about how "ugly chicks need makeup to look like hot chicks." (I've included the video above. It's scary.)
He had his kids star in a homemade rap video about the "pussification" of America. In a "pussified" world, "the females are typically referred to as 'soccer moms' while the males are referred to as 'pussies.' " Huh?
He makes horribly misogynistic YouTube videos, including one where he wonders whether Hillary Clinton is a reptile and another where he discusses whether Britney Spears's breasts are real.

If this family truly orchestrated the balloon fiasco for publicity, then Richard must not be surprised that the Internet is digging up countless examples of his douchiness. Perhaps that's what he wanted to happen.

But since this designer line, distinctive for its corny use of tattoo designs like skulls and hearts, is everywhere, maybe we can curb the spread of out-of-control branding. Mandy Moore Wants You to Energize Your Ladyparts
