2009 Bafta Awards — The Nominations
Jonathan Ross will host the Bafta Awards this year, he announced via his Twitter yesterday, and all of the nominations for this year's ceremony have now been released. The ceremony will take place at the Royal Opera House in London on February 8, and Kate Winslet continues her awesome awards season with two nominations in the best actress category, and Slumdog Millionaire has an enormous 11 nominations including Best Actor for lovely Dev Patel! Reppo II Boombox on Your Back: Cool, but Please Don't Get on the Bus With Me
I'm totally torn by the Reppo II Backpack boombox I saw on Yanko Design — on one hand, it's a cool hardshell design, white, great for hanging out outside with friends — but then I think about other people using them, and I can just imagine being beyond annoyed as I am reading my book with my headphones on David Lee Roth or what have you comes blasting into my little bubble. It happens now with people doing this with their cell phone speakers, and I want to tear my hair out!
So if you get the hot Reppo II, I caution you as I caution Long Island Ice Tea drinkers: Have fun, but be careful.
