Many celebs hit the red carpet last night at the ESPY awards in LA to honor the stars of the sports industry. Samuel L. Jackson was the evening's host, and he kept the audience laughing with his jokes about Twitter.

Last weekend the former Secretary of State enjoyed the pastime of many of her fellow retirees — golf. A recent Gallup poll asked Americans whether the Bush administration should be doing more, is doing the right amount, or should be doing less to help resolve the conflict in Gaza. Only 33 percent said the current American leadership should be doing more, compared to a combined 52 percent who oppose more US involvement.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has been calling for a sustainable ceasefire, different than other countries that called for an immediate end to the violence.

- Spanish Plane Crash Possible Cause:
The plane that crashed in Madrid yesterday and killed 153 people, including two babies and 20 children, had reported an overheated air intake valve before the first attempt at takeoff. The problem was reported and the equipment turned off to fix it. It's not known if this is the only factor in Spain's worst air disaster in almost 25 years.
