Your bedroom is one of the most intimate rooms in your house, and it says a lot about the way you live and feel. Are you the kind of person that makes your bed everyday? Do you keep the blinds closed or the windows open?

Last night I was up late firing my glue gun at the finishing details on my daughter's Halloween costume, so I was a little groggy this morning. Most of the time I do get plenty of rest, but according to a recent study, sleeplessness is a major US problem. Americans suffer from chronic lack of sleep, and the problem is most prevalent in the southeastern United States, particularly in West Virginia.

Royalty, socialites and music stars all gathered in London last night to celebrate the re-opening of Chinawhite. Natalie Imbruglia wore a red lace dress from Pearl Lowe's Peacocks range, while Princess Beatrice combined red with blue, black and white. Chelsy Davy went for an all-black ensemble as did Jo Wood, Leah Wood and Sara McDonald, who looked like she was having great fun with Noel Gallagher!

In last night's episode of Man Shops Globe, Keith Johnson traveled to South Africa, where he was on the hunt for not-so-typical African crafts. After stumbling upon some unusual pottery and a handmade wooden dining chair straight out of a Van Gogh painting, he wandered into a magical art collective shop called Magpie , which sells knickknacks and décor made entirely from recycled objects. Be it a lid to a dog food can, a wine cork, or a Barbie, the eco-conscious craftsman turned the disposable into the extraordinary.

Turning leaves, golden grassy fields, and frost-crisped trees all help me to get into the Autumn spirit. But why leave that inspiration outside in the cold? Instead, transfer those colors to the coziest room in your house: the bedroom.

For someone who plays a Jackass on television, Johnny Knoxville has surprisingly good taste in real estate. His soon-to-be-sold '20s Mediterranean villa has great bones and gorgeous features. However, I think that whoever staged this bedroom for photos fell a little short when it came to dressing up the room.

While Green Day lead singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong may hail from working-class roots, his Bay Area home, which is now on the market for $4.85 million, shows that he's certainly not living on a boulevard of broken dreams.
I wouldn't read anything into the decor of the house, or Armstrong's punk sensibilities (or lack thereof), since I'm sure that this house has been staged within an inch of its life. Whoever staged it seems to have taken a little too much inspiration from Napa Style, Pottery Barn, and a really unfortunate mix of poorly sourced Moroccan influences.

Country Billboard chart-topper Alan Jackson has put his 19,000-square-foot, six-bedroom, seven-and-two-half bath "Sweetbriar Estate" in Franklin, TN, on the market for $38 million. The 135-acre property is the most expansive, indulgent celebrity home I have seen to date. It is bordered by the Harpeth River, one of the largest streams in the area and surrounded by equestrian estates.
