Stars of the small screen flocked to the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles yesterday for the Primetime Emmy Awards. Our own Brits Cat Deeley and Ricky Gervais joined their American pals for the glamourous ceremony, which saw the guys stick to black suits and the women dazzle in an array of colouful dresses. Cat went for a pale floor-length number, while Gossip Girl buddies Leighton Meester and Blake Lively took opposite approaches with white and red.

Host Emma Bunton was joined by lots of celebrities for the Children's Champions 2009 Awards at London's Grosvenor House last night. Peaches Geldof took time off from her Fashion Week jetsetting to attend the ceremony, which honours people who work with children. Danielle Lloyd also went floor-length and managed to smile, having revealed this week she was a victim of domestic violence.

Last night's final episode of Lost In Austen was full to the brim, giving us yet more action and tying up lots of loose ends. The action even moves to the present day, but I'm glad the majority of the finale focuses on the world of Pride and Prejudice.
So the episode begins with Amanda distraught over Darcy's rejection.

Channel your inner evil teen this Halloween by taking your lead from the catwalk. Le Freak has never been so chic with models sporting black lipstick, pale skin, zombie eyes and crimped hair at the Autumn/Winter shows this season. Take note though, this look is not about being pretty or glamorous, if that's more your bag then try a cat beauty style instead.

I'm lucky that North's never gotten bitten or badly cut on any of our outdoor adventures but I believe in being prepared and learning what to do in case of an injury to my furry friend. Keep in mind even the sweetest pup can lash out when he's hurt so securing and muzzling a doggie is key. Before wrapping up the injury to stop the bleeding, start off by making a makeshift muzzle:
- If you don't already have a muzzle for your pet on hand, you can easily make one out of a long piece of fabric like a scarf, gauze bandage, stocking, or necktie.

Egg cartons are good for more than just safely carting raw eggs home. As you prepare your Halloween costumes, consider including them in your design as ears, noses, and other crafty costume parts.
- Use one pod and paint it pink with two black slits and attach pink ribbon to tie it around the face for a pig's nose.
- Paint two of them black and hot glue them on a headband for a pair of cat ears.
- Paint them yellow and wrap yourself up in green for a cute "corn on the cob" get up.
- Cut out two side-by-side pods and attach pipe cleaners for a pair of goggles or glasses — punch out the bottom so your wee one can see of course!

I know that credit crunch fashion has become a fashion media cliché (much like writing about chunky knits for Autumn) but this post is different I promise! I wanted to show you a few actual bargain pieces which you can get for just £5 to satisfy your retail therapy needs on a pocket money budget. The following are all available online and on the High Street — what a fun fashion fix for your weekend.

It seems that cats can be entertained by the simplest of things! If you're a knitter and have cats, this DIY Cat Toy project is perfect for you, since you won't be wasting an inch of that expensive yarn from your last handmade scarf. These simple and easy-to-make kitty toys that a pal of mine caught on The Thrifty Knitter (Thanks, Yum!), are just bunches of yarn wrapped inside a stocking or a pair of nylons, then tossed in the washing machine.

New At-Home Fertility Test Kit
Fertell, the first at-home fertility test kit, became commercially available in June 2007. The Fertell kit contains tests to screen for both male and female infertility. Men can test their semen for concentrations of motile sperm, while women can test their urine for levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (a marker for egg quality).
