Instead of using fancy brochures and an elitist image to attract students, Cambridge University is pitching the campus to Britain's top three soap operas as its latest marketing campaign.
Cambridge's spokesman said: We're very keen to attract the brightest and best students regardless of their background. One of the better ways of communicating directly with potential students is to talk to them through the soaps and other programs they watch.

Dr. Bruce Charlton, an evolutionary English scholar, just submitted a paper that argues that the poor are intellectually mediocre. He claims that: The UK Government has spent a great deal of time and effort in asserting that universities, especially Oxford and Cambridge, are unfairly excluding people from low social class backgrounds and privileging those from higher social classes.

I'm literally not sure how Lily Cole finds the time in the day to squeeze everything in. Jennifer Garner and Violet Affleck put their shades on earlier today for a walk around Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA. The girls took off from LAX earlier this week, with little sister Seraphina, on their way to visit with Ben Affleck as he keeps on working on The Town. The Garner-Afflecks are all familiar with Ben's hometown after their extended stay when he worked on The Company Men, and Jennifer and Violet appear to be starting to fit in just like locals.

There are many films that are released this Autumn which I am excited about, but none am I as intrigued about as Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. It was Heath Ledger's final movie as he met his untimely death whilst it was still being filmed, but I am also excited to see Lily Cole in her first major acting role.
This weekend, Lily spoke to The Sunday Times about the movie, relationships, the changing face of fashion and studying at Cambridge University.
