I have been blessed (knock on wood) with a babe that doesn't have a lot of mucus.
Occasionally she has a booger hanging from her nose that I quickly grab, but I rarely notice spit or snot lingering on her precious lil face.
This isn't always the case.

Great job captioning this silly photo! You made it quotable with these clever ideas:

It is not so much the snot which is green as the phlegm component, and this is only when it is infected. Healthy phlegm is not really green.
The phlegm becomes green in the presence of infection (bacteria) due to the large numbers of white blood cells present, which make their way through the airway walls to combat the infection.

Moms have a high tolerance for the gross and vile bodily functions of wee ones, but somehow we learn to deal better than most. Our male counterparts often gag at their first diaper change before they too adapt to dirty nappy duty. Mamas are known to scrape vomit off the car seat without batting an eye and wipe walls clean of uncontrollable diarrhea.
