OK, so Bobby Jindal's televised response to Barack Obama didn't exactly guarantee his rise to national prominence, but maybe his charming wife will. Meghan McCain believes Mrs. Jindal is a huge asset to the Louisiana governor, as she titled her recent interview with Supriya Jindal: The first lady of 2012?

Yet another 30 Rocker has taken on the Republicans. I almost hope Louisiana's governor, Bobby Jindal, stays in the spotlight so we can see more of Jack McBrayer's (aka Kenneth the page) imitation. (Besides, Jindal's exorcism story hasn't even hit the mainstream yet.) Check out "Jack McBrayer's response to the Internet response to the Republican response to the President's address to Congress" in this preview clip from Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

This is how I like John McCain — kind of a jerk and completely blunt. Last night on The Tonight Show, Jay Leno asked McCain who he thought the leaders of the Republican party were, and he named Florida governor Charlie Crist, Louisiana governor (and 30 Rock's Kenneth the Page sound-alike) Bobby Jindal, and Mitt Romney (twice). And then to prove he didn't accidentally forget some lady governor who messed up his election, he said "and I've left out somebody's name and I'm going to hear about it."

If you're still going through presidential election withdrawal, here's a little something to chew on before the 2012 campaign. Conservatives have picked Mitt Romney as their number one choice for Republican nominee in 2012. Mitt won 20 percent of the vote in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) straw poll.

While anything can change between now and the Iowa primary, Palin looks like she has a good chance to win the Republican nomination in 2012. A new poll shows that 91 percent of Republicans have a favorable view of her.
