With the arrival of July, it's safe to say that Summer is in full swing. Currently I'm obsessed with hearty salads, planning picnics, eating outdoors, and homemade ice cream. I've rounded up the month's most important items — I either can't live without them or I'm dying to get my hands on them.

Now these folks know how to play with their food! Lunch is one of my favorite parts of the day. It doesn't matter if I'm eating takeout, or if I brought a modest sandwich in the office to toast in our panini maker (mmmm, toasted sandwich!).

A single portion boxed lunch or meal common in Japanese cuisine. A traditional bento consists of rice, fish/meat and vegetables on the side. The containers are usually compartmentalized, but not always.

Bento Box Charging Station: Love It or Leave It?
Two things I don't like about Pottery Barn's Smart Tech Line: the traditional looks and the prices. With the addition of the Bento Smart Storage charging station, though, they've solved one problem! The modern, clean lines and simple colors (cobalt and white) would fit so seamlessly on my dresser and blend in with my jewelry boxes that it would solve that pesky "where do I put it?"
