It's Banned Books Week and time to honor some of the most reviled books in America. While book-banning may sound like a throwback to Victorian times, censoring books continues to flourish in 21st-century schools. What's most surprising is a book can be removed from a curriculum, reading list, or school library with the complaint of just one parent.

Thanks to Rachel Bilson and other Wayfarer-loving celebs, Ray-Ban is experiencing a major resurrection. To keep the momentum flowing, the brand has (finally) decided to launch its first ever online store. "The online store is a natural extension, a logical step for the brand, providing the loyal customer with limited access to the brand," said Pierre Fay of Ray-Ban.

New Delhi has become the first city worldwide to ban smoking while driving. The latest smoking ban in New Delhi was among a number of new laws introduced to fight bad driving habits in the city. Drivers caught smoking will be fined $32 up to five times before having their licenses revoked.

With the help of news and librarian reports, the American Library Association tracks what tawdry titles threaten to jump off bookshelves into children’s knapsacks. And now USA Today has made a fancy chart, sortable by title, author, reasons for challenge, location, and final decision.

Music is a great motivator, especially if you are running the long and lonely 26.2 miles of a marathon. The national organization that governs running, USA Track & Field, has banned the use of headphones and portable MP3 players, like my beloved Nano, at all official races. The ban was designed to ensure safety and to prevent runners motivated by the driving force of music from having a competitive edge.

As I've preached, sunnies are the coolest accessory. Like so many, Kirsten Dunst has fallen back in love with the Ray-Ban Wayfarer ($139). This '80s revived trend is still going strong; only problem is I'm a stickler for shades and can't fathom spending that much on such a trendy piece.

France is a little behind on the whole smoking is deadly issue but you've got to hand it to them with their newest step towards health.
Starting tomorrow, Feb. 1, France will be implementing a new law banning smoking in schools, airports, hotels, offices and other public spaces.
