The AP conducted a study in an attempt to figure out how best to get the news to young adults. The international study found that young adults are experiencing news fatigue, and overall information overload thanks to the Internet. Participants were also distracted from focusing on news because they were almost always multitasking with activities like reading email.

Television can be a quick fix for kids when mama needs a few minutes to herself. However, a study released in 2004 indicated,
Early television exposure in children ages 1-3 is associated with attention problems at age 7. Each hour of television watched per day at ages 1-3 increases the risk of attention problems, such as ADHD, at age 7 by almost 10%.

Adult ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) are conditions that have to do with the way you think. Unfortunately, they can seriously affect adults when it comes to their job, relationships, and their finances. It's true that they have to do with not being able to concentrate, but there's a lot more to it.

I've always been taught not to show up to a party, dinner party, luncheon — you name it — empty handed. It seems like a pretty easy thing to do, just bring flowers, a box of candy, a bottle of wine, or some other treat along with you. It also always seemed to me, the right thing to do, since wherever I was headed, I was being entertained, someone was making dinner for me, or providing apps and drinks.

A couple Thanksgivings ago, I celebrated with my neighbor's family and their two fantastic kids in Tahoe. The turkey was in the oven and I realized we didn't have a centerpiece for the table.
