Obviously I've got a thing for highly stylized old school music videos. But this video stands apart from the rest. Not only is the song super catchy — definitely one for a road trip — but the video was way ahead of its time.

In the midst of putting together my outfit for a friend's wedding next month, I hit a wall with my accessories. Yes, I have tons but I couldn't find a piece that could complement my abstract print dress. I then experienced an "a-ha" moment!

As part of DKNY's Delicious Art series, the design on the popular Be Delicious fragrance collection is a-changing once again. The most recent depiction features the limited edition DKNY Be Delicious Art Eau de Parfum Spray ($38-$70) and DKNY Be Delicious Art Body Lotion ($38), complete with packaging inspired by 1960s pop art. Artist Brad Hamann's cartoon-like layout features bold green tones and Ben-day dots on the apple-shaped bottle, along with comic lettering and speech balloons on the outer packaging.

Pete Hottelet has never believed in doing work that doesn’t make you happy. So when he got the idea to take a fictional product from one of his favorite movies and turn it into the real deal, he went for it. Hottelet, a graphic designer based in Oakland, CA, is the founder of Omni Consumer Products, a company that specializes in "defictionalization."

And who better to get things under way, than the charming Doug Aamoth, who spends most of his days reviewing high-tech gadget goods for CrunchGear? I had the pleasure of meeting Doug at the HTC Touch Diamond Event in London last year, and found him to be very much the way he comes across in his work — passionate and knowledgeable about technology, and a really great guy with an addictive sense of humor.

Call me crazy, but Solange Knowles is rapidly becoming one of my favorite celebrities — and not just because of her famous big sister. Her music is catchy, and she seems content letting big sister B be the pop superstar of the family. Plus, she's willing to take some risks with her style.

Sitting in the waiting area at a salon a few years back, the receptionist and I struck up a conversation. As I was doing a little lipstick touch-up before my scheduled appointment, she jumped to her feet. "What is that color?"
